The Attack on Men is Real

If you say to people that there is an attack on males, they may look at you dumbfounded like you are a crazy person.  If you are an inquisitive type however, you surely have noticed the quality of men has decreased under the constant attack of media, medication, a school system that is predominantly female indoctrinated from their time in university that being a man is somehow inherently bad and therefore must be programmed out.

Sound like an imagination run wild?

Consider how men have been de-masculinized in TV commercials where they are stay at home dads cleaning the house (this isn’t to say they shouldn’t know or in fact clean a home, just a reversal of duties), prominent roles in commercials and sitcoms are occupied by a greater share of feminized men with feminine voices, or the constant attack on male children for being overactive, lacking attention, or lacking interest all together. For heavens sake kids are supposed to be super active, creative, get into scuffles, and get into things that generally have them hit some speed bumps because that is the process of learning and socialization.  How can we expect men to be strong if they are continually hampered, dragged down, and have their best qualities suppressed?

Just as we look to Proverbs 31 for guidance on the qualities a good and strong woman should possess, we can turn to the Holy Bible to discern the qualities that a strong and upstanding man should possess.  In Ephesians 5:25 it says,

“Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the Church, and gave himself for it…”

Ephesians 5:25

What qualities did Christ exhibit that showed he loved the Church? When people were sick, He healed them. When the Church needed to learn, He taught people and used parables as a method of teaching. When Christ noticed sin creeping into people’s lives, He was quick and strong to point it out remove it such as flipping the tables in the temple. When needed, He even died for the Church.

Looking to 1 Peter 3:7, we see but a glimpse of how men should act towards their wives,

“Husbands, in the same way, treat your wives with consideration as a delicate vessel, and with honor as fellow heirs of the gracious gift of life…”

1 Peter 3:7

Combining all of these examples and instruction, a man is built strong both physically and mentally to be able to lead, protect, and defend the faith, their wives, families, and community. Man has been given the ability to also act with dignity and grace towards women. Do any of those sound toxic? Yet what does the media spew everyday? So, the next time you hear someone use the Holy Scriptures in the same breath as toxic masculinity – you can tell them ‘where to go’. Or if you prefer, you can go the route of 2 Timothy 3:16 – 17, “2Ti 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 2Ti 3:17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works. “

“2Ti 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 2Ti 3:17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.“

2 Timothy 3:16-17

I’m sure that will piss them off.    God #FTW
