Be aware of anyone who preaches the Gospel.

Gal 1:6  I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:

Gal 1:7  Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.

Gal 1:8  But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.

Gal 1:9  As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

Galatians 1: 6-9

If you have ever pondered for any extended period of time, how the thoughts of men change, surely you would notice that there are many times when a man is persuaded easily from one belief to the next rather easily.

What is the tool used to persuade people? Not only a written word, but a spoken word as well.

In fact, as Paul writes to the Galatians, he his awestruck (“marvel”) at how quickly people have been persuaded away from the Gospel of Christ which was preached to them. Interestingly, Paul pinpoints two parts of this story: the gospel, and the people.  In Gal 1:7 Paul puts an end to the idea there even exists another gospel by stating unequivocally, “Which is not another”.  Additionally, he tackles the issue of WHO SPEAKS these words that are preaching a false gospel and creating dissention in the ranks of God’s newly converted followers. So who are they? “But there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.”  Paul goes as far to say that even if an angel from heaven came down and taught something different than the word they were given by Christ, that it is wrong and the speaker of such words will be accursed.  This highlights how serious the words are, especially of the gospel, that Paul is telling us to guard our ears, minds, and souls even against an angel from heaven. Remember after all, that Satan is a fallen angel.

How important is it for us then, that God gave us free will and the Holy Spirit for us to discern between what is good and not, AND, the power to cast away from ourselves in all manner of being, evil and perverted doctrine and people, whether given by accident or not.

Ladies and gentleman, watch out! Guard your soul by using your words! After all, God did create everything there is by speaking it into existence.
