I do realize that most of the time we write on this blog to help people use their words differently to bring upon a change for the better. These changes include how to show compassion, how to discern with more accuracy between good and bad, and how to write words and say words that bring abundance into your life.
We have just started writing about the importance of choosing to be silent because it is a critical factor in becoming a good listener. Today’s article is one of the most important reasons to become a good listener,
Mat 24:4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. Mat 24:5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
Matthew 24: 4-5
Let us break this down. Jesus is telling His disciples to be careful that no one deceives them (as in, lead them astray and away from Christ). How does Jesus say that man will attempt to do this?
“…saying, I am Christ;…”
Jesus is literally telling you that people will try to deceive you with WORDS.
Therefore, in your life, you are actually fighting a war with your words. You are using your words to bring upon good in the world and your life, while the devil and evil people are trying to bring deception and destruction into your world. And one the tool is words. That is how powerful they are. If you ask the right question, you can enter into a marriage. If a president says certain words, then a war starts.
If someone is jealous or envious of what you have, they may use deception to sneak their way into your life and have access or even steal that blessing you have. The person may flatter you with words, but they don’t actually do so with sincerity.
One of the best ways to discern if someone is trying to deceive you is to listen. Are they saying they believe in Christ? As stated in Matthew 24:5, “For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ…” After you hear this, then it is time for you to determine if the fruits of following Christ are in this persons life. If they are not, then there is a good chance they are trying to deceive you, as a result, you must tell them to get out and you must separate yourself from them.
The Holy Bible contains the keys to living a great life and the Word is good. If you really want to know what the words can be used for, then read 2 Timothy 3: 16,
2 Ti 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness
