Happy Easter Everyone.  Christ is Risen!

It is the most important time of the year for Christians (as I am sure you all know) and a time when we should all take at least a few minutes of private time in prayer, to thank the Lord Jesus Christ for what He was done for us through his life, examples, teachings, gifts, and sacrifice.  No greater sacrifice has been made by anyone in the history of the world.  It is because of Christ that the world has made it this far.

One may argue that we are heading downhill, but upon deeper thought, it is only through the mercy of God that we exist at this very moment.  Just think about the fact that there was a great flood (Noah) which is an extinction level event, and Moses pleaded not to destroy Israel, and Abraham barely saved Lot before the entire cities of Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed.  Truly, we have always been on thin ice.

But God through his mighty grace has chosen to save us who believe, John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Joh 3:17  For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.”

So at this time of year, we celebrate that Jesus Christ has saved us so that we have everlasting life, He has forgiven all the sins of the world, conquered death, and given us the Helper – The Holy Spirit.
